11th February: Just back from a very successful trip to Japan. 3 Japanese Yellow Martens as well as Japanese Macaques (Snow Monkeys), Red-crowned Cranes, Stellers Sea Eagles (300 plus in one place), Mountain Hawk Eagle, 3 Blakistons Fish Owls, Ancient Murrelets, Red-flanked Bluetails, Chinese Grosbeak... and smoking volcanoes.

12th September: Back from a 17-day guiding trip to California. Blue Whale, Killer Whales, friendly Humpbacks, Northern Right Whale Dolphins, Black-footed Albatrosses, Roadrunners, Hummingbirds, Le Contes Thrasher. Condors, White-headed Woodpeckers, Yellow-billed Magpies, Island Scrub Jays, Island Fox, Sea Otters, Northern Elephant Seals...  and forest fires.   Photos in the next few days...
