GUIDING IN SCOTLAND...

   Expert guiding for a day, a week or longer. Based in Speyside I am available to guide birdwatchers, wildlife enthusiasts and photographers anywhere in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, specialising in tailor-made itineraries for individuals and small groups. 

    The  Highlands and Islands of Scotland contain a wealth of wildlife in beautiful wild surroundings at any time of year. Just a few examples include Crested Tit, Crossbills and Capercaillie in the Speyside pine forests, Ptarmigan, Dotterel and Snow Bunting on the high mountain tops, Golden and White-tailed Eagles, fishing Osprey, lekking Black Grouse, Black-throated and Red-throated Divers, Slavonian Grebe, breeding colonies of large numbers of seabirds including Puffins and Gannets, wintering Geese, Whooper Swans and flocks of Velvet Scoter and Long-tailed Duck. Then there are the mammals too, such as Red Squirrel, Mountain Hare, Pine Marten, rutting Red Deer, Otter, Bottlenose Dolphin and Minke Whale.

    Price for Day Guiding:   £100 per day for up to 2 people.

                                        Extra £30 per person above 2  (e.g. 3 people would pay total of £130).

    Advice can be given regarding local accommodation.

GUIDING ABROAD...

    With over 30 years  travel experience, including more than 15 years of worldwide guiding experience, I am able to put together tailor-made trips to suit the requirements of small groups. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas or to join a group of like-minded people.

    Recent tailor-made trips organised and guided include Japan, California, China, Cyprus, Namibia, India, Iceland and Canada.

PHOTOGRAPHY...

- Learn how to make the most  of your digital camera equipment, whatever subject you may be interested in. All abilities catered for from complete beginner to advanced enthusiast.                                                 

- Take advantage of expert local knowledge to track down and  photograph wildlife such as Ptarmigan, Dotterel,  Crested Tit, Red Grouse, Red Deer, Bottlenose Dolphin, Red Squirrel, Grey Seal, Common Seal and more.

-  Not only wildlife. The Highlands of Scotland contain some of the finest scenery in the world. Visit some of the less well-known landscapes and come away with images to be proud of.
